AN OPEN LETTER TO PAMRAPO CUSTOMERS
Dear Pamrapo Customers:
On behalf of my Board of Directors, Executive Management and all BCB employees, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the BCB Community Bank Family. As you may know the business combination transaction between BCB and Pamrapo was finalized on July 6, 2010. As of that date both company's combined in a merger of equals to form the largest community based financial institution in Bayonne with total assets of approximately $1.2 billion and equity capital of nearly $95.0 million.
This transaction affords us all a unique opportunity. We have the opportunity to continue to assist the communities that we serve to both grow and flourish. Whether it is the financial products and services required and desired by our clientele, or the sponsorship of events and causes which ultimately lead to the betterment of our city and our neighbors, we are committed to enhancing this community, its people and its businesses.
We started BCB nearly ten years ago, predicated on the premise that quality customer service, convenient hours, conservative management and dedication to excellence would be attributes that would attract business. On this count we have succeeded. Now with the merger of our two financial institutions, the attributes that we were founded on, combined with the legacy created by Pamrapo, has created a formula for success we believe will work for the communities that we serve.
Over the next several months, our dedicated staff will be working to combine the institutions so that, from a customer service perspective, the transition will be as seamless as possible.
